DGM Group has a 25-year history of developing townhouses in Central Christchurch. The developers have a well-established relationship with Baseline Group and have been working together for over 10 years. The Juno Apartments development is just one of the many projects DGM Group has developed. Situated beside the urban park of Cranmer Square, residents are in close vicinity to Christchurch's retail and hospitality hubs and a short walk through to Hagley Park.
Challenge:
The client wanted to create something which embraced its wider surroundings whilst keeping it high-quality, contemporary, and on-sellable. As the high end, 3 storey apartment development was located on the old site of the Environment Canterbury building, the development required surveying of the area. This was due to some discrepancy with old titles and incorrect survey information dating back to Christchurch's early days. There was also the balance of managing limited access to the site with a narrow entrance from a busy one-way road and parking considerations for residents. Working with a historic site, the site groundwork required careful planning, collaboration and alignment with other in-house experts throughout project delivery.
Solution:
After being approached by the client, Baseline Group prepared the team thorough groundwork on surveying and titles to ensure a smooth consent process and up to date information. Word of mouth referral brought this well-known developer in as a new client and has consequently secured another project with Baseline. Services used surveying, sub-division and consenting.
